As a Senior Designer, your focus is not only to create the best game designs there are, it is also about enabling the designers around you to consistently perform at their best.

You will contribute to a cohesive and elegant player experience, whilst ensuring an innovative design culture.

As a leader you are mentoring and guiding your team members, constantly focusing on creating a work environment where you all can thrive. As you will be a spokesperson for Design in a studio where all aspects of a game are equally important, we believe that you’re an excellent collaborator with many years of experience working with multiple game crafts.

In addition to working closely connected to one of our projects, you’re also an evangelist for game design across the studio with the ambition to improve the design culture, process and thinking among all of our game makers.

Note that the responsibility can be narrowed towards one single area of Design, or consist of many, depending on your background.

Examples of responsibilities

• Nurture and communicate the design direction & plan to ensure the launch of our games
• Inspire, mentor and manage a team of Designers
• Plan, prioritize and set goals together with the team to facilitate an iterative and creative process
• Actively strive to improve and evolve our design culture within the company, helping ensure Embark is the best possible environment for creative talent
• Manager responsibilities, including Performance & Development and salary reviews

We would love if you have

• A creative and curious mind
• Approximately 10 years of creative work across multiple types of games
• 5+ years of leading and guiding other Designers
• Experience launching and operating AAA live service and/or free-to-play games
• Ability to respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Experience in leading and managing designers in different seniority levels
